This bag is a true quick knit - uses worsted weight yarn and oversized knitting needles to create loose mesh pattern. I’ve used Lion Brand 24/7 cotton in color Camel for the pictured bag - I really like this yarn for accessories - it doesn't split, has a slight sheen to it and seems quite durable! I've also knitted a bag in Drops Paris, which works fairly well too, however the bag turned out just a little bit bigger as it's a thicker yarn.

Truthfully, so many of yarns available on the market will work great in this project - I recommend going for cotton or linen yarns, or a blend of those, to keep the bag durable. While it's been designed in worsted weight yarn, choosing DK or Aran weight will not make the size of the bag much different than the 'original'.

This net shopping bag is a great summer knitting project - it's small and portable, so will be a perfect fit for a travel project. You'll find it so practical, you'll want to knit not just one, but a few of those - both for yourself, and or friends and family to carry around!
