Hat length (brim unfolded): 29 (30) cm / 11.5 (12)"
To measure your head, use a tape measure - the tape should sit over the middle of your forehead, just above your ears and midway at the back of your head.
If you're knitting the beanie as a gift and have no way of determining the exact circumference, you can assume that size S will fit teens & adult women, while size L will fit men.
supplies you’ll need
yarn
145 (165) m / 160 (180) yds of Nepal, Drops, 65% wool, 35% alpaca, 75 m (82 yds) per 50 g, or similar worsted / Aran weight (category 4 - medium) yarn. Sample worked in colorway 0100 (off white).
needles & NOTIONS
needles: 5 mm (US 8) 80 - 100 cm (32 - 40"), or to fit gauge if working magic loop method, or 40 cm (16") circular needles and DPN set.

other: faux fur pom or additional yarn for a pom
